Eunice Eileen Evenson, age 74, died on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at the Hospice Center in Madison. She was born Sept. 3, 1928, in Cambridge, the daughter of Conrad and Agnes (Bogenschneider) Trieloff. Eunice graduated from Cambridge High School in 1946.
She married Eddie Evenson on March 13, 1948. She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was active for many years as a Sunday school teacher and choir member, and also served on the building committee when the new church was built. Eunice remained active volunteering at the hospital and with Meals on Wheels as well as playing golf, bowling, and bridge. She owned and operated Evenson's Clothing in Cambridge from 1967-1970.
Eunice is survived by her husband, Eddie of Cambridge; three sons, Dennis (Sandy) of Savannah, Ga., Mark (Vicki) of Edgerton and Doug (Julie) of Fort Atkinson; four grandchildren, Matthew (Heather) of Lake Mills, Jennie Evenson of McFarland, Ann Marie (Any) Dudzek of Fort Atkinson and Troy (Linda) of Fort Atkinson; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Marie Dudzek and a great-grandson, Michael Dudzek; and two sisters, Virginia Burow and Helen Lehman both of Jefferson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Trieloff; a sister, Marie Hartman; and a grandson, Jeffery Evenson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Larry Pinnow and the Rev. Alfred Langhough co-officiating. Burial will be at East Koshkonong Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Grace Lutheran Church. Nitardy Funeral Home in Cambridge is assisting the family.
