• Franz Frederick Wilhelm Bogenschneider, 1866-1942.  Franz arrived in the U.S. on October 17, 1885, on the ship Wieland from the port of Hamburg. He was the brother of Carl Friederich, and the grandson of Christian Heinrich Bogenschneider, 1807-1842. This branch of the family settled in Jefferson County, Wisconsin.  Much of this information was compiled by Jean Marie Martin, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, and by Doris Maaske Bogenschneider Kerr, Horicon, Wisconsin, and is listed on Jean's Homepage under the Descendants of Frederick Mundt.  We thank Ms. Martin and Ms. Kerr for this information.  The family was from the village of Blumberg in Kreis Randow, Pomerania, Prussia.  Click here for pictures from the village of Blumberg taken by Duane Bogenschneider in a visit in May of 2007.
